A lens I'm considering, otherwise mint, has a slight drag or sticking only
between about 5 ft and 3 ft. If the rest of the travel weren't so creamy
smooth you'd hardly notice. It's easy to overcome, and seems to disappear
with slightly more vigorous racking in and out. But then it will re-appear.
Is this a harbinger of some terrible costly repair, or a "not-to-worry"?
It's a late-model 35-M. I appreciate your aggregate wisdom! Thanks.
