There were not so many M3/2/4/4-2/4/P with a meter :) Let's not forget, that the M3/2/4/5/4-2/4/P's founded (and confirm) the M Leica's reputation. The M6 just has an additional lightmeter, a scratchy release button, and some "well-designed" plastic parts inside.
