Well, that may be true in the theoretical sense, but owning a camera manufacturing importer, they have to make sure their customers are happy. They require that people tell customers when they are not getting Passport warranty. They require that a person who sells gray market make sure they do not sell that equipment as anything but. And the law of the land makes them sell to those people who otherwise sell gray market, because that's the way it is in the U.S. Now, they support their facility in the U.S. with the difference in price we pay for the U.S. warranty. How long would they stay in business if they weren't getting that money? How hard would it be for us to get Leicas? Even worse. That being said, they should fix your equipment, but you should not expect it for free. ========== Eric Welch St. Joseph, MO http://www.ponyexpress.net/~ewelch Give me ambiguity or give me something else.
