Yes, I agree.  I had great quality with my erstwhile R8 and the 24/2.8,
35/2.0 and 90/2.8 - and it was a lot easier to go from the M equipment to
the R - even had some money left over.  Going back to the M - a tattered
and virtually non-existent hobby account.  I still wonder why the price
differential.
