Seemed somewhat harsh (depending, of course, upon the kind of light). The T400CN seems to be smooth and have a pleasing gradient. Even in not so great lighting conditions. T400CN's latitude seems to be outstanding. I used some in my M2 and didn't carry a meter. Photographed indoors, outdoors, sun (yes, it came out one day!), shade, very dark restaurant, etc... and everything came out great. And I know I was way off on the exposure in several cases. I didn't have that experience with XP2. My daughter liked the B&W pix so much she asked for a roll. She shot it in her Yashica T4 P&S. Without asking me, she took it to the local Longs Drug store (like Wal-Mart) and checked B&W on the envelope. It isn't back yet as they told her it takes five days for B&W. She didn't realize that it is supposed to be treated as color film. It will be interesting to see if they actually process it as B&W, or if they read the cassette and process it appropriately. Jim
