I completely agree to your judgement of the 1.4/35 asph Summilux as "best 35 on the planet" concerning sharpness (1) between f 1.4 and f 5.6, and (2) between 2.5 and 30 feet. Above f 5.6 and at infinity, the "old" <G> (non-asph) 2/35 Summicron is more sharp. Additionally, the 2/35 non-asph Summicron's rendition of the unsharp (out-of-focus) areas is more pleasant at all f-stops. It "models", like your <G> 1.4/75 Summilux or the old coll 2/50 Summicron. Though more contrasty, as I saw from Ferdinand's prints, the 2/35 asph Summicron shows a similar out-of-focus rendition as the non-asph Summicron. Alf
