Dan: In the right hands with a suitable subject using the Summilux 50/f1.4
wide open may provide miraculous results. But I do not know how one
overcomes the depth of field limitations. In particular, at a subject
distance of 3.5 meters at f1.5, the depth of field for 35, 50 and 75mm
lenses, respectively, is 3.04-4.12, 3.17-3.91,3.27-3.76 meters. Even,
assuming perfect focusing, much of a typical subject will be out of focus.
Perhaps the mythical "bokeh" of Leitz lenses saves the day, especially using
lenses longer than 35mm.
