If you tell us that you get enlargements of 16 times from negatives shot at 1/15 I can only presume that the grain is masking any idea of sharpness and/or that the subjectmatter lacks any fine detail. I also wonder at what distance these pictures have to been looked at to give the impression of sharpness. With all due respect I am inclined to suggest that the discussion about sharpness and the proofs thereof will rest on a decent and measurable yardstick. BTW: sharpness according to all books I have read is a subjective and therefore interpretative idea. This thread is very interesting as it pertains to some concepts dear to the heart of any Leica user: the ultimate image quality. Sharpness is part of that, but which one I do not know. Erwin
