Hell no! :) If you can get it by your wife, go whole hog for the
Noctilux!:)

And remember it's most important feature is using it at f.1.0. You will be
quite amazed at the look of your images as the main subject screams off the
slide or print with everything else in the back ground a pleasant mush of
ethereal colours massively out of focus. :)

Think positive, get the best for the best visual and different look. You
will be inundated with much poo pooing of this, but don't be swayed, GO
BIG! Noctilux all the way. :)
