Richard, Tough question unless you specify how big, how flexible, how easy to search--oh, and how much you are willing to spend and what platform. That said, I use Inview/Stockview and wouldn't trade it for an R8--seriously. It runs the whole business, from clients and correspondense and invoicing to accounting, equipment, stock, delivery memos, and much more. I've had two others bought for $1000 each to run in DOS and then Windows, so have some comparison experience. I switched to Mac just to get this program. And you can buy just the stock side ($300+) and add the other later if needed. It will be able to run on windows by summers Panorama database. Written by a photographer. It will store and retrieve digital images and doesn't cost much. Course, it won't print labels. Check the small ads and classifieds in Photo District News and Outdoor photographer and send for or download demos.
