Anyone ever hefted the 90mm f:1 Elcan? No handy portrait lens, that one!
Remember that shorter focal lengths (i.e. w/a) need be less "fast" because
they can be handheld at lower speeds. A 28/2.8 is therefore somewhat
equivalent to a35/2 or a 50/1.4 etc., etc...And the 28/1.4 Nikkor is not
the world's greatest 28mm - just the fastest.
