Ken,

I think some of us, me, would be interested to hear how you got shots of
Justice Warren and Mrs. Nixon. It seems you were a Time magazine
photographer? I liked the photo of the Japanese Sailor. This reminds me of
my reserve Navy duty in Pearl Harbor around the time of Tail-hook. I got up
to jog around Pearl Harbor. I worked my way down to the pier. It was Sunday
morning around 7:00am. I looked over at two destroyers parked at the pier.
I noticed two rising suns off the fantails, one on each of the two ships. I
thought, "who would have ever thought we would see this any time soon after
WWII?" There they were though, clean, fully equipped Japanese destroyers
docked at the pier in Pearl Harbor over 40 years after the day of infamy
(hope I have my history correct)and on a Sunday morning.
