Gabe,

In addition to what I previously wrote to you, here's a summary of what I
feel the type of photography best suits which system:

R system:

a.) macro work
b.) portraits-easier due to focusing screen esp. for full face tight shot
c.) zoom and tele applications
d.) wideangle apps wider than 21mm/architectural photography
e.) easier to do multiple exposure type of photography
f.) flash photography
g.) sports photography

M system:

a.) travel photography due to light weight system & good results can be
attained without the use of tripod due to lack of mirror slap
b.) best used with lenses from 21 to 50mm, beyond that, harder to frame
(75,90,135).Although a few luggers would debate that the ext. finder of the
21 and 24mm can be a pain to use.
c.) low light/ available light photography
d.) photojournalism type of photography (due to small size of camera)

Perhaps someone on this list can add to my criteria. From here it would be
easier for you to decide which system or systems you would need. But
personally if I could afford both, I'd have them both!!

Regards

Ferdinand
