Regarding the ROM lenses for the R8.

Why is it so difficult to know what is exactly transmitted by them.
(on top of the focal to the flash)
Is it a state secret.
Is it so difficult to explain.
Why more contact in the R8 than in the F5 ?
Did Leica Solms even know what is transmitted ?
Or is it fuzzy logic ?
