One of the fun about Leica is that there is a lot of litterature about it=

and that the records were not destroy during the war or after stopping
production.

The problem is that Leitz was using often older version of camera (M3 for=

ex.), or lens (35/2 in the 70/80's), or optical design (50/1,4) to
advertise new material.
It's less the case now, sinds Solms.
The fact that they use the same number for lenses with new design don't
help neither.
(Tele-Elmarit 90/2,8) etc...

We are lucky to have so many information, but Leica litterature is not mo=
re
the Bible than the various Leica Guides.

An idea for a new book, will be to interview all the people involved in
Leitz
and Leica, from Wetzlar, Midland, New York and Solms before it's to late.=

A job for our German, Canadian and American friends. ;-)

That's why the Viewfinder, Vidom etc.. are so important.
