Yes, the R8 has provision for multiple exposures. It is a lever on the
top right of the camera next to the re-wind button. When I was on my
50th Anniv trip I had pushed the lever over the rewind button all the way
to the left, without knowing it. I couldn't advance the film and thought
I had a broken camera!!! The film wouldn't move. I did finally remove
the film from the camera - exposing it all. Later that night in the
motel I was looking through the instruction manual - sure enough I had
set the camera for multi-exposure!!

I never tried to make a multi-exposure with it - but I can tell you that
the film didn't move at all once it was on!!! I think it would work
just fine and stay in registration.
