Several weeks ago I requested information regarding an M4P, Chrome, w/M6
windows that I was considering.

Many many thanks for all the input regarding the number of these cameras
produced, the serial numbers, and information regarding prices. I do
appreciate all the help and discussion.

One added question regarding the M4P, Chrome, w/M6 windows: I am thoroughly
confused by what I have read regarding the subject type camera and PANDA
windows. It seems to me I have seen PANDA
windows referred to several times regarding both the M4P in question as
well as the M6. I have also read somewhere in Leica literature or other
publications that PANDA refers to a chrome body that has the
Black controls, ie: winding lever, shutter speed dial, and rewind lever. In
fact I think I remember seeing a picture or the Chrome camera body with the
Black controls.

I would certainly appreciate any information you could pass along regarding
the correct meaning and reference of the word PANDA.

By the way, I purchased the subject M4P and am having a blast using it with
my new Leica 35mm
2.0 Asph.

Thanks, Spencer Clark
