I resurrected a swingout polarizer with a replacement of the glass. A
new and slightly larger polarizer as disassembled, and an optician
ground the glass down to the appropriate diameter. I should add that
one member of the LUG commented that when he had this work done, the
grinding process caused some separation at the edge ofthe new glass
disk.
