I still have the receipt for the lens, hood, and chrome finder - tota= l cost was about $170 in Germany back in 1968. The 4500DM price you quoted below equates to about $2600 now! The glass is still mint and the only we= ar is on the infinity lock finger-grip. And it does take mighty fine picture= s. Recently I took the 28mm out on a black-paint button-rewind M2 (38th blac= k M2 made, which I also bought used in Stockholm in 1968 for about $100) wi= th Tom's black M2 Rapidwinder. Now that is a pretty combination. Whadaya' think guys, should I be using this stuff or just admiring it on the shelf (or in the safe!)? Gary P.S. If anyone wants to read about the black M2's and lenses from that er= a, my article is in the LHSA "Viewfinder" Vol 30 #3, 3rd Quarter 1997, "Two Black Beauties". Or e-mail me at datamaster@humboldt1.com and I'll forwar= d you a WordPerfect file of the article.
