Greetings--

In less than 24 hours, I will have received my Christmas present to myself, a 
used but mint/in box M6. Serial number is 2,279,628. I'm told this is a really new 
camera, made even last year perhaps....can anyone say for sure WHEN last 
year? I'm referring to the month and/or day if possible. Is there a chance it could 
have been produced in 1997, even?

I'm not sure, that's why I'm asking you all. Thanks.
