The reason is that I just don't like AF - not on the 8008, 8008s, N50,
N90s, or the two F4s that I have owned.  I can focus just fine with the
M6 and love using the camera.  I do have some P&S cameras for my wife to
use and for back up with the M's: Leica mini, Yashica T4 Super D.  Yes,
they are fun to use and light.
