I wasn't talking down on Nikon or Canon. Even today, they're built pretty
good in the AF configurations. But every single Leica lense is built to
last, and the person I was addressing was wondering if it's safe to buy
used Leica.

And I wouldn't match an R4 against an R8, either, much less an F4/5/3/2.
