Review Data on http://www.metz.de/mecablitz/eng/produkte/40/Welcome.html The main difference between mecablitz 40 MZ-3 and 40 MZ-2 is that, together with the SCA 3401 adapter (from M2 onwards), mecablitz 40 MZ-3 now supports the full range of enhanced Nikon AF functions: 1) 3D multi-sensor fill-in flash 2) Pre-flash for red-eye reduction and 3) LC display indicates under-exposure in f-stop The mecablitz 40 MZ-3 is thus the ideal flash for the following Nikon cameras: F-90 X, F-70 and the latest top-of-the-range F-5 model (with SCA3401M4). And of course, in conjunction with an SCA adapter, mecablitz 40 MZ-3 is also compatible with all other cameras. Besides the Nikon-specific functions listed above, mecablitz 40 MZ-3 also offers numerous other features which up to now were only available with Stabblitz 50 MZ-5: Motor zoom reflector with a range of 105 mm TTL easy function Rapid mode (previously known as turbo mode) Remote in automatic mode Modeling light In addition, a wide angle diffuser (range of 20 mm) is integrated into the reflector casing. This can be quickly and easily opened out when required. regards
