I remember a news photographer somewhere in New England who won
Photographer of the Year in the Pictures of the Year Contest. Everybody
claimed he was evidence you don't have to go more than 25 miles form home
to make great pictures. Then someone pointed out to me that he set up a lot
of his pictures. Nobody hears about him any more either.

Amazing how credibility is such a precious commodity. Much more precious
and harder to recover than Leicas. (Fortunately for me! <g>)

Lives of great men all remind us,
We can make our lives sublime,
And, departing, leave behind us
Footprints on the sands of time.
