The lens dates from late 1971 or 1972.  Zeiss began using multi-coating on
technical and industrial optics in the middle 1960's (without a T* marking)
but didn't begin using this process on camera lenses until 1970.  Zeiss and
Pentax had pooled their research on this subject (and others) in the late
1960's, and I believe Pentax may have beaten Zeiss with camera lens
production by several months.
