Both you and others find extreme sharpness to be an ultimate attribute, while Alf & I find the softness & etherealness (bokeh?) of the early Leitz lenses that many Great Leica Photographers used, to be to our taste. Maybe it is because I matriculated in Hollywood where sharpness is not so desirable in the glamorous fantasy world. Its better to hide a pimple some times ---- but then we are talking apples & oranges not pimples.
