For $1200 you can get an R6 in pretty decent shape from a reputable dealer
on the Web.  Then you get mirror prefire, which I personally find very
useful in doing macro, because one often finds oneself in the 1/2 -- 1/15
sec range where mirror shock is a problem.  If you can get an R7 for this
price, that camera also has mirror prefire.
