I always felt that Leitz should have designed the DR so that the eyes were
required at all time EXCEPT in the close-up mode, for two reasons, less
chance of losing the eyes, since I use the lens in normal mode most of the
time, and secondly, the lens looks so cool with those eyes on it.  ;-)
