Here it goes: Personals: - - Age 32, married with no children. - - education: law school and masters degree in international politics. - - photography is pure hobby for me (as a necessary counterbalance for my professional life), just the way computering is - of course on Macintosh :-) (I have been a happy Apple user from the very first hour, back from the venerable //c up to the modern PowerBook lines) - - camera equipment goes along on most professional trips abroad (size of equipment determined by the size and weight of the other bagage...). Present camera equipment: - - Leica R8 with the following lenses: Elmarit-R 28mm f/2.8 ROM, Summicron-R 50mm f/2.0 ROM, Macro-Elmarit-R 60mm f/2.8 ROM and Summilux-R 80mm f/1.4 ROM. Motor-winder or motor-drive in the hopefully not too distant future :-). - - Leica M6 titanium with Summilux-M 35mm f/1.4 ASPH titanium. - - Nikon 35 Ti (compact). - - Nikon FM with the following lenses: Nikkor 50mm f/1.8, Micro-Nikkor 55mm f/2.8, Zoom-Nikkor 28-50mm f/3.5 and Zoom-Nikon E 70-210 f/4.0. Motordrive MD-12. - - other stuff like Leica angle finder-R, Leica table tripod with ball socket - - Leica P150 projector with Colorplan-P2 90mm f/2.5 CF lens. Sold camera equipment: - - Nikon FA - - Nikon AF3 (compact with 35mm f/2.8 lens). The other Nikon equipment is on its way out, and maybe also the M6. Only need time to find a buyer. Preferred films: - - for slides: Fuji Velvia 50 ASA, Fuji Provia 100 ASA, Fuji Sensia 100 ASA (don't like Kodak Ektachrome or Kodachrome). - - for color negatives: Fuji Reala 100 ASA (when you need more vivid colors: Fuji Super-G Plus 100 ASA). Had recently nice experience with Agfa Optima 100 (splendid neutral colors). - - for black and white (very seldom): Ilford Delta 100 Professional. Have been taken pictures over the last 15 years or so, always on Nikon reflex. Switched to Leica this year and don't regret it. However, I feel much more comfortable with the R8 than with the M6. The R8 just "feels" as the perfect camera for me.
