Went to the show today at the Javitz Center in NYC. The Leica booth was
full of goodies but short on information. for instance, I asked how I
could identify the ofder 90 2.8 from the current models and couldn't get
a straight answer. He either didn't know or was just plain not
I was shown the chrome and told that it was just discontinued.
The rest of the show was smaller than last years. A number of
manufacturers were conspicuous by their absents and some, like Hasselblad
had a smaller booth than in the past. Not that it wasn't worth going to,
but several people that I spoke to are pessimistic about the shows
future. I thaink that they should hold it somewhere in the north east
where it wouldn't cost as much to participate. Maybe Phila.?
