     Alf,

I bought a 105/2.5 AIS to try to see if what you said was really true
as some people like you had said so far. It has been nothing but
disappointments. Simply it has not come up with any of my R or M
lenses. If you fell in love with the Nikon, would you buy this lens
     from me?

     Regards,
     David

Jim,

it's easy to beat the 2.8/180 Elmarit R or the 4/250 Telyt R. Of course, I
know that the 2/90 or 100 mm Macro are nice lenses, but that's true for the
2.5/ 105 also. And the M Super Angulon beats the R Super Angulon at each day
of the year... Further, I certainly don't test my cameras, I take pix. On the
other hand, I agree that the FM backplate is not the best ... But, you only
press it that strong when you (1) use a winder and (2) bullets pass close to
your head :). BTW, my FM has 3.177.167 ... with 7+ million you decided rather
late to buy a nice camera :)
