On the front cover of the section is a full page portrait of Henri Cartier-Bresson taken in January 1957 by Jane Bown. The great man is pictured peering into the viewfinder of an M3 (given the stated date it must have been an early edition). Within the article there is a description of the somewhat chaotic Paris general meeting of 1996 at which: ".......no one could mistake this was a conclave of photographers: many had Leicas hanging round their necks and amused themselves by taking pictures of each other." All this Leica lore for point four five of a UK pound! Cheers Bob
