Hmm - but there are too many 'buts'. 

The diffrence between 73/75 and 85/90 mm was resaon enough, that Leitz
created a new 75 mm in 1980 again. Besides, the Hektor was rather good
(sharpness & contrast), and had a smaller front lens than the 2/90
Summicron. Additionally, I thought that the Summarex was made as some kind
of 'war lens' originally.
