As a suggestion to E.Leitz, Wetzlar, my friend once recommended
to a few executives that there be manufactured a Leica M6
which would be made of solid silver. It would be a special edition,
but the public would not be told that it was made of solid
silver. It might be cheaper to make than a properly working
version. And since many of the special edition cameras are never
removed from the box, it would be sold and resold. The value
of an unopened box would remain. Do you think it has been done?
