For many years in the late 50s and 60s (I believe) the Tiltall was 
made by a small company (Tiltall) in a garage in New Jersey. It was
very popluar because it worked and you got the head with the tripod
at no extra cost. Only problem with the tiltalls, as I remember, is
that they were shiny chrome and relfections happened on the subject
when you didn't want them. 
Uniphot knocked them off. The Uniphot unit is an inferior copy.
Leitz , U.S.A. bought the garage factory and sold them at much
higher prices. They also made black ones, I believe. Anyone else
fill me in on what I left out ? Ed Meyers
