"Commissioned" is a bit misleading since Leica still tried to hawk these treasured masterpieces at ridiculously inflated prices through their dealers. I wonder how many of them really went to the Royal Danish family and how many went to the no-so-royal Gullible family. My point is that present Leica management really doesn't understand the esteem and reverence their product is held in. IF they did, they would not be prostituting the Leica name with phony instant collectibles for the sake of a few extra bucks. Too bad present Leica Management doesn't have a higher regard for their company, their products, and more importantly, their customers. Stephen Gandy PS: On the other hand, maybe you are right.
