Chris;

I do have an instruction book for my SL-2, and there is no where
in the book any conversation regarding meter calibration. The
only reference in the instruction book is for checking the status of
the meter battery (assuming type PX-625, or equivalent mercuric
oxide cell). That is to depress the button (looking at the front of
the camera) that is to the right of the "Leicaflex" text on the prism
housing. The meter pointer should deflect at least as far as the
lower semicircular marking in the viewfinder.

If you need a more definitive answer or more information, I would
suggest a conversation with Ernest Hartman (the lead technician
at Leica NJ. He really understands and loves the Leicaflex's and
I am sure would help out.

Also, are you sure that the batteries are mercuric oxide?

Regards,

Dave Stedman

LUGs,

Does anyone know how to adjust the lightmeter on the SL2? Where is the
adjustment screw? Is this information in the IB?

(BTW, I do not have an instruction book for the camera.)

I can do the job myself provided I know how to find the adjustment screw.

Best of Light,

Chris
