Jim Brick responded to Pascal's question:

:I have three loupes. The best by far is the 6x Schneider ASPH, next is
the
: NPC 5.5x (people that make the Polaroid backs), and last is the EMO 5x
from
: Wetzlar. The 6x Schneider ASPH is truly a gem.

Schneider 6x ASPH is indeed superb. You may also want to look at the new
JOBO (Fuji) ProOptic 4x. It is vastly superior in mechanical quality to any
Horizon loupe. The ProOptic comes with built-in hood and is comfortable for
use with spectacles.
I paid $70 for mine from Adorama.

John Barnabas
