I fear I might have overemphasized my point.  I am not suggesting that
anyone switch from Leicas. They take great pics and they are no in
production alternatives to the M system.   In B/W they have no peer in
35 IMO (or at the least, that I have seen)..

Its just that they are a bit overpriced, and the company does have some
problems which informed buyers should know about.  I personally have a
hard time handling a "everything Leica is great" attitude which ignores
obvious problems.  They have a few warts, but they are GREAT cameras.

Worst case, I can not imagine Leica not surviving.  It would most likely
be bought out.  My own favorite choice for a new owner is Nikon.  Can
you imagine a F5 with Leica lenses, or a New Nikon SP using M mount
lenses?  The thought gets my old focomat all excited.

So Deg, instead of switching cameras, just help out and start buying
100,000 M6's a year.
