Calling San Francisco San Francisco because the natives do (I was born
there) is simply a matter of respect.

I call LA LA because the native do.

I call Oregon Oregun (not Oregone) because the natives (having lived
there when I was younger) do.

And I've just recently learned to call Prescott, AZ Prescut because the
natives do.

And I call Tijuana Tijuana (not Tia Juana) because it is not someone's
aunt Jane.
