I recently resurected a Master IV that hadn't seen the light of day
for 15+ years. That may be the answer. It was in its case and
packed away in moving box all that time.

It appears to be bang on at reasonable light levels, but I haven't
checked it out yet at its lowest light capability. The incident
inverted cone really makes it a fine performer for daylight
portraiture.
