Thanks for the details.  You know, most people who take  photographs 
simply fail to realize the real skill and talent that goes into "making" a 
good image.  With the advent of the point and shoot, everyone is suddenly an 
expert.  Even though I'm an amateur, stories like yours tend to only 
increase my respect for those of us who earn their living capturing the 
moment.
