Even when I show prospective wedding clients a side-by-side comparison of color and B&W photos, they still are not interested in B&W. Trying to indicate the archival qualities of B&W doesn't help to convince them either. They want to see color. Sometimes I show B&W prints to people, and their immediate reaction is, "Too bad it isn't in color!" B&W just doesn't turn their crank. When they go through the trouble of color-coordinating their gowns and the decorations at the reception, they want to see that and remember that in their wedding albums. If their gowns are pale pink, they want to see someting that at least comes close to that color in their prints. They don't want to see "zone " gowns. - -GH
