With a caliper measure the diameter of the screw-down. In one end of a piece of material of the above thickness drill a hole the size of the screw-down + .010". From the other end make a cut on center which runs from the hole to the end of the material. Use steel wool or a wheel to break any edges which may damage the camera. That's it.
