Chatterton -- and a lot of other reputable dealers -- eschew the use of
'mint' save for items still sealed-in-box or the like. Believe me, a LOT of
collectors are mighty picky, and I've even had a fellow complain to me about
a minor milling mark on the inside of a new Leica item -- said he was buying
an "E" item. The simplest way to avoid this from the dealer end is to sell
EVERYTHING as E or E+ or E++.

I do it this way, too, though I limit myself to E+ and let the buyer be
pleasantly surprised.
