There will be a memorial "meeting" of his friends on 4 March, Tuesday at 3 P.M., 123 West 18th Street (4th floor) in New York City. It's at something called the Metropolitan Center. It's between 6 and 7 Ave. Most people remember Bob as a premier photo writer of technical teaching stories in Popular Photography magazine. He was also at one time known as Mr. Leica, having worked in P.R. and product design at E.Leitz GmbH in Wetzlar for about 6 or 7 years. I was priviledged to be his friend and to hear his personal stories about the Leica and his days at Leitz. Henri Cartier-Bresson was a friend of Bob's and was always referred to as "Hank" by him. It was our joke. In April the Metropolitan Gallery will auction Bob's extensive book collection. We're in the process of setting up a scholarship in his name. At least, I was asked to look into the possibility of this by his family. Thanks for "listening". Ed Meyers
