I am very interested in your comparisons since I >enjoy both systems also..(really admire the old F2) Nowell I have owned both the older, pre-AI 85/1.8 Nikkor and the AI-S 85/2 Nikkor ... both are without a doubt amongst the sharpest, best performing lenses I've owned. The f/1.4 version of the 85mm lens I have known to be somewhat prone to flare, based on what several photographers who use them have told me, with is not the case with the f/1.8 and f/2 lenses. The 85/2 and 20/3.5 AI-S Nikkors are really the two lenses that make me very reluctant to part with my Nikon SLRs. Sorry for the non-Leica content. Godfrey
