Some historical information on Marc Riboud : actually, he is not a
"professional" photographer : He used to work as an engineeer for the
Renault car company up to 50'. Then he started photography (think it was in
53).
Also he is Antoine Riboud's brother. Antoine Riboud is in charge of the
"BSN-Gervais-Danon" groupe, one of the most important industrial group in
France (maybe the first). Antoine was a close friend of former president
Mitterrand. If you come to Paris, Marc Riboud has his appartement near the
"Jardin du Luxembourg" (beautiful place). HCB live in an appartment with
view on the "Jardin des Tuileries" (Palais Royal). Think such appartments
are quit expensive !!!
