This one looks like an item number engraving, but I can't >find a reference to that number. I picked up an IRZOO/14097 from an estate three years ago or so which was also so engraved. This is the '5cm' version and is engraved, on the front, 781871 and, on the back, in smaller characters, 3941. I wrote this up for VIEWFINDER but they didn't run it. I do know that no one with whom I've discussed this has been able to shed any light on it, so it IS comforting to find that a second one exists -- and not too far from me geographically, either! Incidentally, I believe the engraving saga for these adapter rings was such that the ISBOO/14098 was ONLY engraved '90mm' and the ISOOZ/14099 '13.5cm', without regard for the M2 frames. The IRZOO/14097 went from 5cm to 2.8cm - 5cm to 50mm during its long life. I only have a half-dozen or so of these left, but I don't recall ever seeing any of these adapters which varied from the above format. I would, of course, be happy to learn more from those who can shed additional light! Marc msmall@roanoke.infi.net FAX: +540/343-7315 Cha robh bas fir gun ghras fir!
