a personal request to anyone e-mailing from Italy.....

I would like to help a friend here who is about to spend another winter
in Italy and wants to stay in touch with home through the Internet.

Would someone who lives in Italy and uses the NET be willing to
communicate with her and tell her what she needs to buy and/or bring to
make this work.
